Your Portfolio, Your Data

1. What we collect

We deliberately collect as little as possible. The categories are:

• Account data: when you create an account, we store your email and a hashed password. That’s it.
• Portfolio data: by default this is stored only in your browser’s local storage. If you opt into cloud sync, encrypted holdings are saved to our database.
• Usage analytics: aggregate, anonymous metrics about which features get used. No individual user fingerprinting.
• Server logs: standard request logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

2. What we never collect

• Brokerage credentials. We are read-only and connect via OAuth or manual entry only.
• Bank account details, social security numbers, or government IDs.
• Browsing history outside FolioRadar.
• Location data beyond country-level inference from IP.

3. How we use your data

The only purposes are: (a) to deliver the FolioRadar service to you, (b) to debug and improve the product, and (c) to comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural targeting, or third-party profiling.

4. Third parties we share with

The minimal list of vendors required to operate the service:

• Supabase: account authentication and encrypted cloud sync (when opted in).
• Stripe: payment processing for paid tiers. We never see your full card number.
• Anthropic: AI inference for portfolio grading and chat. Only the holdings list and prompt are sent — never your email or account ID.
• Vercel: hosting infrastructure.

We never sell personal information to anyone. Full stop.

5. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can: (a) request a copy of your data, (b) request deletion of your account and all associated data, (c) export your portfolio in a portable format. Email privacy@folioradar.com and we’ll action within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or session replay tools.

7. Children

FolioRadar is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

8. Changes

If we materially change this policy, we’ll notify you by email at least 14 days before changes take effect. Minor clarifications will be reflected via the “last updated” date above.
